2. Data Analyst (Credit Risk)

Location: International Pay Later Team, PayPal

Role Summary:
This role focuses on analytics for the International Pay Later Credit Risk team, where you’ll design data-driven solutions to manage PayPal’s credit risk. You will help in creating impactful data insights, balancing risk, user experience, and financial performance to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insights Generation: Provide analytical insights to improve performance in the EMEA & APAC regions for Pay Later products.
  • Optimization: Develop risk management approaches with direct P&L impacts and refine classification efforts.
  • Communication: Collaborate with Business and Product partners to inform strategic directions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SQL, BigQuery, SAS, Python, and data mining methods.
  • Experience: Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services (Credit Risk experience preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present insights to cross-functional teams and influence business strategies.

3. Manager, Software Development 2

Location: PayPal Zettle Organization, Bangalore

Role Summary:
The Software Development Manager will lead the Partner Onboarding team within PayPal Zettle, which focuses on enabling small businesses to manage in-store payments and grow their businesses. This role involves team management, strategic planning, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Build, mentor, and guide a team of skilled software engineers.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with architects and product teams to align technical recommendations with business goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track the development status, quality, and operational efficiency, and report to management.
  • Team Building: Foster career growth, maintain high coding standards, and encourage innovative problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in scalable applications, Java backend, and related technologies.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with product managers, peers, and stakeholders to drive results.
  • Education: BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the payments industry is a plus.
