Cisco Key Responsibilities
Budgeting and Expense Management:
- Support engineering leadership in decision-making and prioritization.
- Manage portfolio planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly commit processes.
- Oversee month-end and quarterly close activities.
- Conduct forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance and manage forecasting models.
Business Partnership:
- Collaborate with engineering leaders (VP/GM, Directors, Ops Leads).
- Provide financial guidance for operating expenses (Opex).
- Engage with finance peers and other finance organizations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process efficiencies.
- Drive positive changes in financial operations.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll interact with leaders from the DSE team at multiple levels, supporting the Data Center and Provider Connectivity Business. Regular collaboration with Engineering leadership and engagement with peers across Finance teams will be a key aspect of this role.
Cisco Hiring Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a Business-related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant Finance experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency. Expertise in financial planning and reporting systems such as Hyperion, Essbase, and Business Objects.
- Key Attributes: Ability to balance multiple deliverables with tight deadlines. Passion for improving processes and driving efficiency.
