The bank is hiring professionals for a Corporate / Business Banking role focused on managing and growing a portfolio of mid, emerging, and large corporate clients. The role involves driving portfolio profitability, sourcing quality corporates, cross-selling banking products, and ensuring strong compliance and risk management.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate banking relationships, from client acquisition and credit appraisal to disbursement and post-disbursement monitoring. You will work closely with internal teams such as credit, risk, treasury, and product partners to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
You will work towards achieving business targets related to asset book size, portfolio profitability, and risk-adjusted return on capital (RAROC). The role includes identifying and onboarding quality corporate clients across sectors, advising customers on foreign exchange and treasury solutions, and supporting cost-of-funds optimization.
You will coordinate with credit and risk teams for underwriting and project finance appraisals and manage the full deal lifecycle from origination to post-disbursement compliance. Regular monitoring of portfolio companies, quarterly financial tracking, and identification of early warning signals (EWS) will be a critical part of your responsibilities.

Product Penetration & Cross-Sell
You will develop a strong understanding of banking products such as Trade Finance, Treasury, Cash Management Services (CMS), and Working Capital solutions. The role requires wallet sizing, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and successfully pitching relevant banking products to existing and new corporate clients.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates should have experience in corporate banking, business banking, or wholesale banking, with a strong understanding of working capital, trade finance, and treasury products. The ability to engage with CXOs and senior management, negotiate commercial terms, and source new business is highly desirable.
