NITI Aayog Internship Scheme: A scheme of Internship called “NITI Internship Scheme” aims to invite students who are studying for / Graduate / Post postgraduate degrees or are Research Scholars in accredited Universities/Institutions in India or overseas as “interns.”. These ‘interns” will be exposed to different Verticals/ Divisions/Units of NITI Aayog and would be anticipated to augment the analysis process in NITI Aayog with the empirical collection and compilation of internal and other data. The internship will be unpaid. This will enable short-term exposure of “selected candidates” with the different Verticals/Divisions/Units of NITI Aayog, Government of India as ‘Interns’.

The Internship period shall be at least six weeks but not more than six months. Interns will be asked to bring their
laptops. NITI Aayog will provide them with working space, internet facility, and other essentials as considered appropriate by the respective Heads.
NITI Aayog Internship Scheme Objectives
To enable young academic talent to be attached to the work of NITI Aayog for mutual advantage.
The “intern” will get a chance to learn about the Government working and Developmental Policy issues in the Government of India and help in the formulation of Policy by providing policy inputs like empirical analysis, briefing reports, policy papers, etc.

Experience Certificate/Internship Completion Certificate: A certificate of successful completion of the Internship shall be given by the Adviser of the concerned Subject Division

NOTES:
The students must apply 2 months before the internship, and the application will be accepted only for the month that the student wants. During the internship, the student needs to have 75% attendance for successful completion of the internship. The gap between the announcement of final exam results and the month of commencement of the internship should not exceed 6 months, this is only for those who are applying after completing their studies. The shortlisted candidate must submit original mark sheets and NOC from the institution/college during joining; in case of default his/her candidature will be canceled.
NITI Aayog Internship Documents Required
- Marksheets of class 10th and 12th.
- Marksheets of all semesters/years of graduation, PG, along with the degree (as applicable)
- NOC in a specific format as mentioned in the application guidelines.

- After reading the instructions to fill out the form.
- Fill in all the applicant’s details. In the field “Area of Interest”, choose only one area of interest.
- Click on the Preview button to verify all details. On the preview page, check all the entered details.
- In case any correction is needed, click on the Edit button. If all fields are correct, the submit button will appear for final submission of the form.
