About the Job
The company is hiring a QA / QC Executive responsible for controlling shift-wise quality activities, monitoring product and raw material quality, and ensuring compliance with quality standards for engine components.
Key Responsibilities
You will control shift QC activities related to product inspection and raw material checking, monitor quality trends, and provide timely feedback to the production line on wall thickness and shrinkage defects. You will be responsible for quality control of engine components and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 QMS standards.
The role includes operating conventional laboratory inspection equipment such as aluminium and sand testing instruments, roughness testers, and hardness testers. You will read engineering drawings, perform cut-section checks, prepare operation standards, and develop and implement quality control tests for incoming materials and processes.
You will conduct daily checks for products, casting processes, and machining stages, analyze defects, and initiate corrective actions using the PDCA methodology. Understanding casting defects and recommending preventive countermeasures is a key part of this role. You will also maintain 5S and safety standards, support training and skill development of supervisors and associates, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Technical Requirements
The candidate must have hands-on experience in ferrous or non-ferrous foundry quality control, specifically for engine components. Strong knowledge of NDT testing of castings, drawing interpretation, RC sand control, and process quality is required. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is expected. Experience with ERP systems and Kaizen practices is an added advantage.
