Digital India Internship Scheme: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the “Digital India Internship Scheme” internship scheme. Its objective is to invite applications from the students with active participation in the learning process by implementing the knowledge gained in the classrooms. Candidates with exposure in the field of proposed internship with sound academic records and higher qualifications, depending on requirement shall be provided preference.
A total of 24 slots of Internship will be available for the Internship in 18 categories of different areas. The internship will be provided in New Delhi. Mode of internship i.e. Virtual or physical will be determined by the respective Supervisor/mentor, depending on the requirement. The minimum internship duration shall be of two months and can be extended up to three months, as per the candidate’s performance and the Ministry’s requirement.
Benefits of the Digital India Internship Scheme
An Intern shall be paid a non-taxable stipend of ₹10,000/- per month, (in keeping with the Organization’s guidelines) if he/she maintains a satisfactory performance as certified by his/her Supervisor/Mentor. Upon completion of the internship, and based upon acceptance of the Report, signed and countersigned by the Supervisor/Mentor and the Competent Authority respectively, certificates would be issued to the Interns by the Ministry.

Application Process for Digital India Internship Scheme
- Interested students may visit http://meity.gov.in/schemes
- Click on the link “MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme” then click on the “Apply for Internship” option.
- Now applicant needs to register on https://serviceonline.gov.in/ to apply for the scheme.
- After completing the registration process, the applicant will log in to the website using his/her credentials.
- After logging in, select View all available Services under the Apply for Service option.
- Now search for “MEITY DIGITAL INDIA INTERNSHIP SCHEME 2025” and click on the service description link to open the application form.
- Now follow the instructions for filling out the application form and submit the application form.
