About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer at Flipkart, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of site equipment and systems. The position involves working in day and night shifts, reporting directly to the Site Lead – CMT, and taking ownership of preventive and breakdown maintenance activities. The role demands a strong technical mindset, quick problem-solving ability, and coordination with multiple site-level stakeholders to maintain high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining daily maintenance records such as PM sheets, history sheets, and maintenance trackers. A major part of your job will involve technical problem analysis, identifying the root cause, and executing effective countermeasures. You will attend equipment breakdowns and resolve issues within the shortest possible time while also focusing on team skill development and execution plans.
You will plan and execute shutdown preventive maintenance, manage site equipment ownership, and handle critical spare management. Regular interaction with internal stakeholders is required to ensure smooth coordination, safety compliance, and uninterrupted operations across the site.

Skills and Technical Expertise
Flipkart is looking for candidates with strong knowledge of Mechanical Systems, control and power wiring, HMI, VFD, and PLC programming with troubleshooting expertise. Practical experience in conveyor maintenance is essential, including belt changing, alignment, tensioning, belt joint repairs, and maintenance of rollers, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools, hot work practices, safe work procedures, and LOTO systems is mandatory. Strong documentation skills, data management, and good communication skills are also critical for success in this role.
Performance Expectations and KPIs
Your performance will be measured through PM compliance percentage, RCA closure, 5S score, MTTR and MTBF improvement, daily and weekly reporting, team skill-up initiatives, and EHS audit closure.
